Southeast Market was established in 1997 by a local Chinese family from Vietnam. It started off as a small asian grocery store specializing in Chinese and Vietnamese goods. With the recent growth of the asian food culture along the Wasatch Front, we started expanding our specialty food selection to include more ingredients from East, South, and Southeast Asian regions to try to help meet the cooking needs of our customers. Southeast Market provides a vast selection of Burmese, Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Taiwanese, and Vietnamese ingredients. We strive to provide our customers with the freshest and most flavorful asian ingredients.
After all these years of witnessing the growth of the Asian food palate along the Wasatch Front, we get very excited to see how diverse the asian food shopper is today. We understand that walking into the store can be total sensory overload for anyone, from the different colors and textures to the different Asian language packaging on the items, so we make it our other goal to help provide a positive experience for all of our customers, from helping to find that unusual ingredient to taking the time to answer any questions about the product.
